Heading Home

Well 6 weeks on the road had finished…6 weeks, 6 Countries, 5 meets, 4 gold and 1 bronze!

It has been a tough tour this year as i trained pretty hard all through the 6 weeks. Getting up and racing time and time again was very tiring! But I think I have made some good gains and looking forward to coming home!

The view from my bancony in Pescara, Italy!
Have finished 3 meets out the 5 that we had planned for this overseas trip. The first 3 were pretty rough, the series is called the “Mare Nostrum”. It’s a series we do pretty much every year and is a lot of fun, however I was training through [...]

Monaco is done and dusted, I didn’t swim well at all. But tomorrow is another day and another meet… Barcelona! Here is a pic of the pool we are racing at, nice outdoor pool. There is an incredible amount of entries this year, and warming up for a race is like swimming in a washing [...]

Old Yarrenlea School Visit

Here is a photo from last week where I spent the day with Old Yarrenlea School in Brisbane. Old Yarrenlea was the lucky school who won an Uncle Tobys’ swim clinic hosted by me - they won the competition by posting in three barcodes from Uncle Tobys products. It was amazing that they won out of all [...]

A Big year Ahead

It is always a big relief after the Australian swimming trials are finished. Personally I still find it the most stressful event in the Calendar, as so much depends on performing well.

Swimmers only get one chance every year to be selected on the National team, and to do that we have to place 1st or [...]
